HOW HAS RICHMOND CHANGED DUE TO CRIME?
The Richmond that we know today was shaped especially shaped during the 1900's to the 1930's. Although crime itself has not changed since this time, the way in which citizens and police deal with crime has changed. Due to developing technology, it is much easier to catch criminals. Criminals such as Squizzy Taylor and Martha Needle would not get away with crimes that they committed. Children were influenced from crime during this time as they were known to roam the street. These days, children tend not to roam the streets and are less likely to be influenced by crime.
